make your own mk6i pro SD card for programming!

for this to work you will need an older FULL SIZE SD card thats 4GB or SMALLER!
NOT a microSD with an adapter

SIZE REQUIREMENTS:
the minimum size is 256MB - usually 512mb or 1gb cards are the most compatible
in SOME cases i've heard of an 8gb card working, but your mileage may vary. try a few cards, and see what works for you

WHERE TO BUY:
i've found that buying a 'used lot' of SD cards on ebay is the best way to get one that will work
they can be purchased for under $20 and usually come with 5-8 SD cards of varying sizes/brands
BUT - a lot of people have old digital cameras, or other devices laying around, that have old cards in them :^)

these chairs use an older data access scheme -
hence newer, larger SD cards cant be read by the chair

there are 2 versions of the software-
the first one is outlined in the video listed below

the second version allows for changing settings DIRECTLY on the chair's joystick screen!
(there is no video about this version yet)
the SD card setup process is the same as version 1 - but 'store to SD' is not necessary

if you plan on trying BOTH versions of the software:
MAKE 2 DIFFERENT SD CARDS!

mixing and matching the software on one card WILL result in errors,
and possibly getting locked out of your chair!

SETTING UP YOUR SD CARD:
(first version of software)

1) ensure that the SD card is EMPTY - NO files should be on the card at all

2) ensure the card is using the 'FAT' file system - NOT ntfs, exfat, etc..

3) unzip the files you downloaded above

4) place all the files and folders DIRECTLY in the root of the SD card

(it should look something like the image below)

DO NOT OPEN THE SOFTWARE on your computer
BEFORE performing 'store to SD' on the chair!

5) turn off your chair, put the SD card into the joystick, and power the chair back on

6) the joystick display *may* prompt for a firmware update - this is required to continue

7) select 'store to SD' and when it completes, power off chair, and remove the SD card

now you can continue with your programming on the computer!
