Latched Driving / Cruise Control

Latched Driving is somewhat dangerous and should not be attempted unless you KNOW what you're doing!!

if these instructions are confusing at all..
DON'T ATTEMPT THIS!!

See "Gaining OEM Access" article first

**MAKE SURE YOU SAVE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR OEM SETTINGS FILE!!!**
you'll want a backup to revert to if things get weird!

once you're in the sunrise OEM software,
 and have followed steps 1 - 12....

You'll want to create a new drive profile that's ONLY for latched driving

under profile management, select an unused profile and give it a name ex. "cruise"

next, make sure the profile is Enabled by selecting "YES" from the menu

after that's created - its easiest to just copy/duplicate another profile on the chair that has the settings you like.
(make sure its a fairly slow profile that doesn't have a lot of acceleration speed)

EDIT MENU -->Copy Profile

then select the profile you want to copy from, and overwrite it onto our new 'cruise' profile.

now look for the setting:

"Latched Drive"

double click on the text box to open the drop down menu, and select 'cruise'

now if you don't have an external emergency stop switch, there's one other setting we need to change - otherwise the chair wont move AT ALL in ANY profile!

 Now look for
"Emergency stop" or Emergency stop switch"

double click on the text box to open the drop down menu, and select 'cruise'

now if you don't have an external emergency stop switch,
there's one other setting we need to change -
otherwise the chair wont move AT ALL in ANY profile!

 look for
"Emergency stop" or Emergency stop switch"

and set it to "NO"

that's all! refer back to the gaining OEM access article Step #13
for how to load this new profile back onto your chair!
